Re: Error 1066, unable to play online

Going thru everything for days... One unifier seems to be the leaver flagg.    Most of the cases seems like people got tagged for leaving. It smells like an issue with their algorithm.  I know its not equipment, software, or connection. Its got to be something profile based in the matching side.  If they cleard eveyone of the bs flag they could find out quick if thats the issue. Good luck getting to someone that actually does analytical trouble shooting and root cause analysis. You just get the front line cannon fodder who check their boxes with the primary goal of getting you off the line as quick as possible and close thier ticket.

The Leaver Penalty is a thought... however.  The matches I'm getting in, I'm playing.  Last night took 4-7 minutes to get in, and I played them.  Now... timing out.  I ask a lot of questions when I'm in the 'briefing room' before a match trying to get data.  So Fewwwwww people have mics or use comms.

I think it is going from the leaver flagg.   All the chats going on people ended up getting flagged cuz of some issue wethr a Internet issue, our ea serv disconnect, or even thoes times when the match is starting and you bounce to main menu for some unknown reason...you come back in with that flag.  Iv never quit in a match thru button or menu but i have gottn the bounce out to the main menu and not being able to rejoin. Iv got that and it hasn't cleared. Now you cant play matches and thats supposedly what you have to do to clear it....but when you get bounced you get the flag.. its feeding itself.    All Since the patch is 1 fact of the matter. When they changed stuff last time they allowed people to reset their rank one time.  Clear everyone bs flag from before the update and see.

Yea but how do you clear a leaver penalty if you can't get a game?

There is also the issue with lobby crashing and dumping everyone and still giving you a leaver penalty

So the game is for all intents and purposes, broken, since patch 4 came out with no response.

I kinda feel that way.  Going on for days muti boards are talking about this very thing evey day more people with the same story and NOWHERE has any dev or moderator commented. no responding at all. Every one who goes down the formal report issue path gets a runaround and no assistance or if you get a clown their just checking boxes and closing out their ticket. Seems futile if nobody is listening.

The guy I was chatting with in support was shocked I asked for a refund!  Yeah... BROKEN!

So I have played twice today.  Took 7:35 and 6:20 to get into them.  It could be the "leaving penalty" as now I'm getting stuck with three new low level players... against 4 or 5 high level and getting my * kicked because they don't know what to do and just die over and over 'feeding' your opponents morale and you don't have any time to change ships and hit a cruiser or flag ship.  So...seems to be the same old balancing issue compounded with the lever penalty....   In the past, I would leave before the game even started.  But now... no way I'm leaving because of knowing if it is the Leaver Penalty or not. 

BUT WHO THE HELL KNOWS?!?!?  I can't believe how unprofessional EA and everyone has been through this.  You do an update and everyone hides under a rock?!?!?  The support person I was chatting with said they log in and read these frequently.  BS!!  I can see the Community Manager hasn't been on for a week now.  I posted this elsewhere, but it seems the updates have not been very well tested.  Seems Squadrons is still in Beta and rushed out... to be fixed along the way.

I liked to play games to get away from BS and have fun.  Squadrons makes me SOOOOOO FRUSTRATED after I play it.  I'm counting the number of people I have told when asked or has read any of my social media NOT TO BUY TIS GAME.  I'm up to 16 people... so far. And that is just since Friday.

Just ended another horrid match.  Each side had two new players.  But the opposing side had way better K/D ratios (1.6+) for the experienced players than we did.  My other two so-so levels had fair K/D ratios (.5 and .6).  I'm level 111 ranked Valliant 4 (now 3 after this game) with a KD of .83 and their high level was 140 Legend 2 rank and a K/D of 2.8.  I knew it was bad from the start.  In one way, I can see by "levels" the game was kinda balanced.  By skill, I knew we were dead.  I look at everyone's K/D in Fleet Battle Offense.  Only a couple times have I been wrong.    

One important part was in talking with the one person on my team that could, he told me it was his 10th ranking game.  I asked about waits, and he said he had to wait several minutes and got the 1066 time out error several times.  I asked if he had a "Leaver Penalty" and he said NO. He was telling me he is getting into unbalance matches and he was only level 7.

That kinda shoots down the ideas that it's a ranking/skill issue and the "leaver penalty."

At least we know people are looking at these from EA as I've seen responses today.

BUT WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH THE BAD MM?

Even an update as... "We are looking at it and hope to get an answer soon..."  Which is terrible, but it least it acknowledges there is a problem.
