Shoot around corners - SE-14C - Possible or Cheat?

I have just been in a game and this guy (not naming) can shoot around corners with this gun, not only that I have the same weapon fired point blank and chucked a missile at him for luck and guess what his bar never moved, im wondering since im sort of newish to the game I thought only a homing shot could shoot around corners and not this weapon or is it me?
