Spire of Miktrull, can't force push lanterns

I am having the same problem on the same platform.  I made a recording of it.

On the first part of the puzzle I was able to utilize force slow to get around the problem but that does not work when you have to hit the vines on the chain.  

I just read where someone else figured out a way around this issue which worked for me.   If you hold whatever key you have bound to force pull while pressing the force push key, it works as expected.

YES, that's the way I do it too. Hold onto the force pull button until you are ready to let it go. Then just do a force push and it will fly our  of your hand. 

If anyone cares with this nowdays, I solwed the puzzle in the TOMB OF MIKTRULL whith this exact bug. 

Here is my solution: 

After I pulled the lantern to me, instead of  pushing it instantly, I just slowed it  befor hiting the floor. so while the lantern was slowed, i had the time, to (almost) aim whit ti.  I had tried it like hundred times before, and the best thing I could do, was that I released the 'pull' key, then hit the 'push' key, somewhere between 0.3 and 0.7 seconds.  this way, the lantern was pushed in the right direction, but I was not able to aim with it higher then a simple horizontal push... 

But here comes the real trick! Do you remember the box in the room, which was stucked  in the grawity field? 

If you run toward that box, with holding the lantern wiht force, as you reach the box, you loose sight on the lantern, so the force pull ends, and you simpy place it on the top of it.

unfortunately the grawity field instantly toss it back to the wall, so first of all, you hawe to turn off the gravity field. This way it is a bit harder to manage the lantern to there, but here you can use the trick with slowing the lantern.

Long story short:

Turn off gravity field, climb up for a lantern, by holding it, go to the edge, release 'pull' key, then instantly hit the 'slow' key. As fast, as yo can, jump down, turn back, and pull the lantern. Go to the box, place the lantern on the top of it (maybe if you hawe sight of it, yu can press slow again, just to make sure, it will not roll down). Climb up, get the lantern, then aim to the chain.  Ater a fast prayer to any god, you can accept (or ewen to the force), you can release the lantern, slow it again. If you are lucky, from this higher position you can push the lantern to the right place, and burn up the vine. 

I'w just got trough this right now, so I hope there will be no more parts in the game, where I hawe to aim correctly with force push :D
