Completely Softlocked - Merrin Portal Bug
I am currently on Jedha towards the end of the temple section with Merrin and the giant squid drill. After the cutscene where Merrin makes the portal and you have to jump through it, the portal does not work. Cal passes straight through the portal instead of it putting him on the other side and I fall to my death. I am in a death loop where either I try to jump through the portal and fall, or the drill kills me. As far as I know, there is no way to revert to a previous checkpoint or even to restart the level. The game saved right at that point so I am stuck in a 10 second death loop because the portal will not work. There is no way for me to cross the gap without it.
I have done every single thing I can think of both in game and out of game. I have restarted, repaired, and reinstalled the game with nothing changing. This is an absurd softlock.
I have tried uploading a video here to show what is happening but the forum is saying the upload is larger than max size, despite it being 33MB
Ok, so I just managed to get through on mine. After starting a new game I played all the way back to the portal scene. I figured this time instead of just jumping in, AS PER INSTRUCTED I might add, that this time I'll use the air dash... Yeah. It worked.
So I loaded up my previous save and, yeah. You just have to dash through them like Lazer gates...
