EA Play won't let me download to external drive

So I'm trying to install Jedi Survivor to my external hard drive because the game size is larger than my computer could even handle if nothing else were on it. It gets about halfway done on the download progress bar before I get a pop-up that says I "need 128 GB of disk space..." With almost 2 TB left on the disk. I've made sure that it's set to the proper download location and everything, it's really unclear what's going on.
