Error - Login with your EA account to activate SW Jedi Survivor on this computer

The game won't launch, it gives the error “Login with your EA account to activate SW Jedi Survivor on this computer”, while I am logged in to both my Steam and EA profile, with EA tied to this Steam profile. Tech support said the following: “You need to completely uninstall the EA App. Then, launch the game through Steam, when you do, you will receive a notification that the game is installed and there will be a link. Follow it and download the app.”. That didn't help the problem. What can I do?

    I've seen some posts suggesting the following:

    1. uninstall the game, Steam and EA app

    2. Reinstall Steam

    3. Reinstall the game from Steam

    4. Start the game from Steam (always start the game from Steam)

    EA app will install at some point in that process.

    Seems like a pain and I'm certainly not guaranteeing it will work, but may be worth a try. If it doesn't work, reach back out to EA tech support, as they may need to fix your account.
