Game crashes before main screen Xbox

I'm trying to play the game on an Xbox series x, disc version. The hard drive is less than 60% full with the game installed on the hard drive.

I installed the game and update.

Version is 1.0.0.7.

The game crashes during initial loading at the following places:

Respawn splash screens (7/10 of the time), the EA logo (1/10)  and then maybe 1/10 I see the Jedi temple, two small lightsaber icons and nothing else. Then 1/10 times I see a terms of use or something screen that's faded like it's in the background. The game screen freezes and then a few seconds later I'm kicked back out to the Xbox home screen.

I've never been able to even start a new game.

I have tried the following:

Cycled router power, cycled Xbox on/off, uninstall/re-install 3x. Changed gamer pic to default. Turned HDR off, Ejected disc and made sure it was clean. Held power down for 10 seconds, unplugged for 10 seconds. Cleared alternate Mac address.

  • Same issues here since launch.

Still no fix. Still no solid support. And still nothing fervent from the devs. Months after launch. Absolutely mind blowing.

If EA isn't playing ball with ya try going over their heads to the Better Business Bureau. File a company complaint and ya should get a response from an EA representative.

I bought this game the weekend it came out and after patch 7 I still can't play it.  After the startup screen it just crashes.  My xbox series X was one of the 1st produced, every game I have runs great except this one.  I think I am done with EA games!

Summarize your bug Hi EA, I can't launch Star Wars Jedi: Survivor digitally on my Xbox Series X because it keeps crashing every time I'm launching the game. Can you fix that? I can't even play the game.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? lunch the game
What happens when the bug occurs? crashing to the xbox menu
What do you expect to see? to play the game i paid

@TheZupZup Wanted to see if you were still having an issue with the game crashing when you try to launch it?

@TheZupZup Does this happen when you first launch it, or when you try to load into a save? If you are able to get to the load a save, are you able to load previous saves?

@TheZupZup Gotcha. Try the following and see if these help.

    • Quit all running Apps (For Series X|S consoles)
    • Remove any connected device, or additional USBs from the console
    • Go to settings > Select Device & Connections > Then Blue-Ray
    • Select Persistent Storage > Clear Persistent Storage

    Alternate Mac:

    • Go to settings > Select General  > Then Network settings
    • Go to advanced settings > Alternate Mac address > Select clear
    • Select restart

If you don't mind starting over in case it is a corrupted save, you can go into manage games and apps.

Under the game go into saved data and delete the file.

This will delete progress though so make sure you are okay with that before you do.
