I'm sorry to break it to you, but they're never going to fix this. It's been an issue since day 1 and they still haven't fixed it. Best to either change your monitors resolution to 16:9 or just deal with the broken aspect ratio. The game is still riddled with issues on PC to this day that they most likely will never fix. I can only have the 3rd game won't be this broken.
