@together60 but see that's the choice I mean; frankly even if we had access to all 5 I'm still probably going to default to dual-wielding and crossguard for most of my combat, but for the few instances when I'm surrounded by droids I'd still like the option of popping out my double-bladed or if I'm going through an area with a bunch of tiny enemies that are a pain to slash at individually you can just whip out the blaster and get them out of the way, also did I mention how I feel about discovering spooky corridors and not having my blaster?
I think if all 5 are available from the start, people are still just going to pick what they like anyway and the other styles will be there for utility or if they just want to try them out, but it will still be up to them to discover their value. And there's still going to be plenty of people that are like "just finished grandmaster, single-bladed only run, still too easy, AMA" And as you mentioned, by the end of the game or in NG+ you have enough points to do whatever you'd like and be any flavor of OP you want anyway until you max out. The lightsaber just doesn't make enough of a difference to make you OP in a way that the force doesn't, it's just a few more options.
However if the ONLY way the developers would consider adding it in is as a NG+ addition, I would gladly take that, because I'm just not looking forward to playing the story again thinking about all of the time I'll have to spend just to enjoy using the lightsaber the way it was designed to be used :c
Sorry for talking your ear off, but this has been like my whole week and now amount of playing the game can make up for this feature not existing

Changed the main post to include a list of suggestions that relate to customization.
