Jedi Survivor on PS5 will no longer allow me to use force lift or slam

My controller and PS5 are brand new, only had the system for just over a month. All my buttons on my controller are functional. For some reason, force lift and slam no longer work. I tried remapping the button but still not working. Tried searching online for a solution only to find that other's have had this issue with no fix. I fear that I won't be able to complete the game and don't want to have to restart as I'm almost at the end.
