@mshireman and @Xyridin Did either of you change the key/button bound to Force Pull, and if so, does it help to change it back? Please test to find out even if you don't want to play that way going forward.
As a side note, you can't force pull data discs stuck on walls. That's part of the puzzle.
- 2 years ago@puzzlezaddict It's not the data discs. It's the discs that have ropes attached that you pull and attach to a pylon to open a gate, as seen in https://assetsio.reedpopcdn.com/star-wars-jedi-survivor-chamber-of-duality-raised-door-and-first-cable.jpg?width=1920&height=1920&fit=bounds&quality=80&format=jpg&auto=webp
- 2 years ago@puzzlezaddict also, as I mentioned above, the keybind works, but the actual Force Pull behavior is different. I can FP in combat and I can use the jump-then-foce-pull trick for most things like ropes and orbs, but some things, like the cables to open gates, refuse to be pulled except via controller.

I'm still using the original keybinds for force powers. Its mostly ropes that I encounter the problem. When attempting to get up to the bandit watchtower, I tried for like 20mins thinking my angle was off, or my timing wasn't right. Then I remembered The Bug, exited out, reloaded and first time I pulled the rope and made it over. It's usually not a huge issue, since I can reload to make it past... but where I am now there are two ropes in a row; I can make the first, but not the second. Once I reload from the fall, I can no longer make the first unless I reload.
- 2 years ago@Xyridin Interesting. Sounds like your bug is slightly different than mine. As long as I'm in a first-stage jump when I Force Pull, I don't have issues with swinging-ropes, even in sequence. It's just when I stand on the ground and try to pull them.

I was also seeing that issue: Especially in that first temple, I couldn't grab the cable to drag it over to the socket to open one of the gates.

SpoilerYou need to burn away the Koboh matter, and the discs will fall.I'm still using the default keybinds. The biggest issue for me is on the moon, there's a pair of ropes in a row. I can always grab the first one after having just loaded in, but it fails to grab the second on. Then, after falling and respawning, I can no longer grab the first rope, this is consistent and happens 100% of the time, repeatable every time.
If I reload the game, I can again make that first rope grab only, and can't go any further. I'm 14 hours in after a year and can't progress any further. Just sitting here wonder now if I can make it back to the ship and go to a different destination so I can at least play some more of the game.
