PS5 Pro still shimmers and jitters after latest patch
Yesterday, Respawn released a patch aiming to adress the shimmering and jittering introduced on the PS5 Pro version of the game, and while it is better, it's still not what I would consider fixed.
The 30 FPS/quality mode is overall pretty decent now, but the 60 FPS/performance mode still sees a lot of jittering and shimmering on foliage/grass/trees, especially on Koboh which is a planet covered in vegetation. Some areas look pretty okay now, but the areas around the Koboh town that are more in the shade/half-shaded are still affected. The area around the meditation point just before you go into the town still sees a lot of shimmering, for example.
I would assume it's related to the RTAO (raytraced ambient occlusion) in performance mode and I would really prefer if we could turn it off to look like the base PS5 performance mode and instead use that extra GPU power towards a higher input resolution.
Anyway, I'm not sure if Respawn developers read this forum. With the typical turnaround time of their patches/updates, it seems kind of unclear. Anyway, if you do, hello! If not, I'm just shouting into the void.
