Generator Underbelly Force Slam and Lift Glitch - Soft-locked

After dropping down into the generator underbelly I triggered the cutscene to unlock slam and lift when pressing the map button. After the cutscene finished I got the button inputs to display on the turrets for doing a slam, as well as the door, but pressing the focus button doesn't focus on any of the available targets, and using either button combination just makes me jump/use my force attack. I'm also stuck down here due to the save point at the bottom of the shaft, so I can't retrigger the cutscene nor can I revert to the previous meditation point. Reloading the save, dying, using different input options, remapping inputs, changing difficulty, enabling/disabling sending data to EA, and relaunching the game does nothing to fix the issue.

I am currently out of my country, but will follow up on this when I get back home on Tuesday-Wednesday. Thanks for mentioning me 🙂

Thanks for the video Kewine, looks like I'm at the same point as well.  I tried all the tips in this thread, including the recommended one about letting the turrets unalive you and none have worked for me.  Following for updates from the admin.

If you're using a keyboard like me the problem was that I changed the focus key. It works when I change focus back to normal.

However I found a workaround in that pressing my custom FOCUS keybind, then press LEFT CONTROL (which is the default FOCUS keybind), then press spacebar and slam works.

@kreamkone Thanks for the suggestion, it worked for me too!
I hope that this is at least for all keyboard players the temporary solution to this bug.

Hi @EA_Leeuw - as of the most recent update, the issue is still ongoing with no mention of a fix in the keynotes of the update. Just wanted to get an update in regards to the fix since there was a description in the keynotes that there are ongoing fixes that they plan to fix in upcoming updates.

I second this motion, as I myself have after trying all the aformentioned fixes and having found that none off them work for me:

thats crazy my first playthrough i spent 16 hours looking around and everything and then my save gets corrupted i take a few months off now im back to do another run 8 hours into it i finally get back to where i was then i get this * glitch so now ive spent an entire days worth of time just tryna get pass this * mission

Can we actually get this fixed? It's ridiculous. The game has been out for months and is currently completely unplayable, you have taken out money and are doing nothing to ensure we get something for it.

I bought this game right when it came out, and it had major frame issues all throughout my first incomplete playthrough. But I dealt with it because the core of the game was fun, but then my file was corrupted because of EA's fantastic cloud saving. So I started another game after a month or so hoping the bugs were fixed, and to my surprise it did seem to run a bit smoother. But then I got the point in the story where Cal has to Force Confuse large fauna to progress the story by pressing a button combination that starts with the button RB(xbox controller). It did not want to work, the game thought I was trying to call my mount. After several attempts the RB button combination finally worked and i could continue the story. Now I'm in the Generator Underbelly where Cal must use Force Slam to destroy the turrets, and what do you know I encounter the same bug! When i press RB+A to force slam the turret Cal just jumps in the air as if I'm not even pressing RB. Once again I cant move on in the story; I'm stuck here until you fix this bug(I've tried lots of "fixes"). This is absolutely unacceptable from a gaming studio as big as EA, its been 4 MOTNHS since this game came out and I've encountered 2 gaming breaking bugs that stop me in my tracks. EA made so much money from this game and can't even fix it! I've dealt with many games feeling incomplete at launch recently but nothing has come close to how disappointing this game has been. PLEASE FIX THIS GAME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!

@EA_Leeuw - Can we please get an update on this? It has been over a month since we last heard from you and you were the last to comment that EA has their hands on the issue. Please provide an update on the state of the repair or fix that we can use. 

I have not been able to play for two months now and i'm getting frustrated, as i'm sure everyone else is too.

Stuck here too. I have never seen any company neglect their consumer base as badly as EA…

hey guys, I believe I found a work around for PC ONLY. You will need to download WeMod and make an account. Once installed open WeMod and select the game in the app, you'll see various options for cheats. Open the game, load into the Generator Underbelly, and run to hide behind the cylinder to avoid laser fire. Back on WeMod stich "debug menu" on and go back into the game. MAKE SURE YOU ARE IN GAME WHEN TURNING ON DEBUG MODE. Back in the game open the HoloMap and then press start. Tab over to DEBUG menu and select the first option "CHEATS", then go to Fast Travel option and select it. it should open the fast travel map over the holomap and now you can fast travel ANYWEHRE on the map. Youll be able to keep going on the main mission until you get to the highest point of the Lucrehulk. After that you will absolutely need to use the Force Lift ability to start a cutscene, so I suggest you just fast travel somewhere else in Kaboh to explore until EA actually fixes this issue. GOOD LUCK YALL!

Don't think so. Just encountered it after 18 hours. Guess I should have looked into why my I couldnt issue commands to my companions sooner. 

I believe it's still not fixed. I also encountered the same issue described in this forum. Also playing with Xbox controller on pc (steam) but looks like my RB button is not working because I just jump into the air. I did see the cutscene, but force slam doesn't work. Pretty frustrating to be softlocked into a game without an option to open up previous saves.

All kind of fixes were suggested like reassigning the buttons, plat around with the angle to focus on the turrets or what so ever but none of them worked.
Would have expected EA to have fixed this bug by now (after what, 1,5 year live?)
