Re: Game crashes during Storm Run and other points on Jehda

LowLevelFatalError [File:Unknown] [Line: 686] hr failed at D:/depot/r8branches/r8release/Engine/Source/Runtime/D3D12RHI/Private/D3D12Resources.cpp:507 with error DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED with Reason: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG

The crashing starts when the sandstorm begins on Jedha. Disabling RT fixes the issue but that is clearly NOT a fix. Please forward this to the team thanks.

Same error but at the end of the second trip to Jedha, after giving the data to Cere and trying to get back to the Mantis to leave the planet.

4090 here, same issue (latest drivers 531.79).

High repro at Jedha too but it happens in other levels as well.

    Disabling RT fixes it.

I'm getting the same error regardless if RT is on or off.

I was crashing constantly, but now i have everything to high, rt enabled, all 3 effects turned off, and it's more stable than ever. it can still crash randomly when starting the game, but the second time it will run. during gameplay it only crashed when doing one of those secret areas. it was stuttering/compiling like crazy, and it just gave up. second time i entered it, the stutter wasn't so severe, and then it didn't crash. this is the most stable the game has ever been for me - aka crashing is tolerable now.

try those settings, maybe they also work for you. i added my dxdiag on another thread, but i'm on a 7700x, 32gb ddr5, 7900xtx. i also moved the game from an nvme ssd to a sata ssd, but didn't really made a difference

may have spoken too soon. managed to get to the forest in koboh, and now the crashing is often again...

100% of the time in Koboh. Anywhere from 15-20 minutes tops before it crashes. I keep having to run back to the save spot hoping it doesn't crash on the way.

It's an absolutely terrible way to play a game... The next fix should be coming very soon from EA or this is going to go down as a bust of epic proportions.

Disabling RT does not fix it, verified the game, uninstalled and re-installed the game, ran DDU to remove Nvidia drivers, re-installed them, several machine restarts in between, tried all fixed I could find online to no avail.

I even see same crashes with or without RT so not sure what is the real problem here.
