Hi! I am using an Xbox one controller. I have it connected through a micro-usb cord. I used the same xbox controller the first time I played the game as well.

Thanks for the additional information, Is yours one with BT built in? If so can we try switching and seeing if this continues? 

I just tried with mine and couldn't get this to happen. Out of curiosity do you have any other input device connected to your PC?

I believe it does, so I can give it a shot and get back to you on that. 

Aside from my controller, I only have my keyboard and mouse connected to my PC. Not sure if this impacts my case, but I'm also playing through Steam.

I'll try out a BT connection instead and see if that impacts the game.

I tried using BT and unfortunately that didn't get rid of the problem. I tried attaching a quick video of me navigating the menus, but it seems I can't post a MP4 file. If you are curious to see the actual footage I have of the issue (because I know I'm probably not explaining it in the best way), let me know if there is an email I can send my short videos to.

I recorded a slightly longer video of me in the game trying to dodge/evade with B, but instead it had me jumping. Similarly, I used LB to block, but it sometimes would pull up the mind trick/companion menu you usually get from RB. I believe this time I also tried using RB but it blocked instead. Like I mentioned earlier, I launched through Steam, so I'm not sure if that has something to do with it or not.

Not that I am aware of. I have not set up any Steam controller profiles. I went ahead and uploaded both videos that I mentioned, here are the links:

Out of curiosity, does this continue to happen if you temporarily turn off or disconnect your mouse and Keyboard? 

Also if you try playing does input freeze up at all?

Strangely enough, yes. Just tried disconnecting my keyboard and mouse but the issue still persisted. 

Thanks for all your help @EA_Illium ! Hopefully the team can deduce it's some weird setting I have on or some minor issue.

As far as the input freeze, I haven't noticed anything. The controller is always responsive, just not how it was intended with the button switching and all. Does that answer your question?

Did you ever get a resolution for this?  I've been having the exact same issue

Not yet, but I can see that the video I posted has gotten a few views, so I imagine the team is still working on it. I did find a partial work around where sometimes it works if you add the EA app to steam as a non-game application, launch the EA app from steam, then Jedi survivor from there. I’ve only gotten it to work with a wireless controller tho, so it’s not very consistent. There’s a YouTube video out there that I found a while back about it in case my explanation was confusing. That’s the best I got, sorry.

Hey, so I know it's been a few months but I figured out a fix for this that EA hasn't gotten back to you about. It's stupid but you need to fully shut down Steam if you have it running in the background like 99% of PC gamers do. It supersedes Xbox or EAPlay and glitches out the game.
