Re: Locked in combat, can't collect/scan/etc.

I had this issue and figured out a solution but just in case it doesn't work exactly for you this is what I did. I went behind Soont's house and it kept saying that I was still in combat so I figured it had to be something outside of the house and somewhere in the area so I kept running around trying to figure out what this enemy causing the combat to continue was. For me, it turns out that I had to run all the way to the roller bomb factory near the town and when I got up to the entrance right by the two bd-1s a roller bomb came out even though I didn't slice the spawner inside. Once I killed that roller bomb the combat ended throughout the entire area and I was able to walk into Soont's basement which was no longer a combat zone and collect the essence. Try out the roller bomb factory first and see if that was the bug, if not, try to follow the area seeing what is and isn't a combat zone by continuously trying to sheathe your lightsaber. If you can't sheathe it the game still thinks you're in combat and that's how I was able to find it. Good luck, and hope it works for you.

  • That work thanks still kinda stupid that I had to go and fight a droid that was no where near the essence but still thanks

  • @BuscemsI was *finally* able to get it. There were small skirmishes to break up outside of the village. Some Mogus, a Smasher or two, and some Imps and clankers. But that wasn't what finally allowed me to get it. You're not going to believe this: Remember that place where Cal learned how to use roller mines to his advantage? There were some clankers just outside the door. Once I destroyed them, *finally* was I allowed to get the essence. What a pain that was.

Same exact issue in the RE basement. I’ve tried the above workaround but no matter how many things in the area I kill, the essence is uncollected

  • I appreciate man! That’s stupid but it worked for me and I’ve been trying to figure it out since yesterday but gave up since I had stuff to do for new years!

  • Had this issue on Series X in May 2024, and this solution worked exactly, had to kill the errant rollerball all the way back at the factory.

  • I had this same issue, and this worked for me. Thanks for the help because I never would have thought to do that!
