Rooftop garden has a "ghost plant." Can't remove or reset empty plant slot

Product: STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor
Platform:Xbox Series X
Summarize your bug The rooftop garden plot has a medium plant slot "filled" with an empty plant. The three hexes for the medium plant are marked as having a plant in them but there is nothing there. Nothing can be planted on it, nothing can be removed from it, and resetting the plot doesn't fix it.
How often does the bug occur? Rarely (0% - 9%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I'm not sure what caused the bug. I placed a plant, and removed it, and then placed a plant, and removed it again. At that point it left it with it "filled"
What happens when the bug occurs? Plants cannot be placed in those slots, they can't be removed, and it can't be reset.
What do you expect to see? It should be able to clear at some point

The plants are unable to be removed, but there isn't a plant there.

Summarize your bug Garden has 3 spots that are empty and have tried Resetting them and weeding them but will not let me replant in the spaces
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? i just planted until the garden was full and now all the spots grew except those 3 and it says they are empty but the blue highlighted area says i cant replant anything
What happens when the bug occurs? unable to plant anything
What do you expect to see? the garden to be plantable after weeding the plants

Garden is glitched and wont let anything be planted in 3 spots

Summarize your bug I accidentally planted a seed in the wrong spot so I immediately pulled it up. This makes my 2nd spot I have like this. So I'm assuming that the bug occurs when one plants a seed and then immediately weeds that plant. It puts the seed back in my inventory but the gardening grid still shows that a plant is there even though nothing grows in its place, I can't plant anything there and can't pull anything up.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I'm guessing it happens when you plant a seed that you immediately try to pick back up
What happens when the bug occurs? I can't plant anything new or pull anything up. Spot on the gardening grid just permanently shows a plant is there when there isn't.
What do you expect to see? This bug to be fixed.

Judging by the other posts I've seen about this bug and no reply from EA on any of them, and going with the standard EAgames MO of rarely releasing new content, rarely addressing their fans, rarely fixing known bugs and problems within their games, I'm guessing that A.) They either don't care or B.) They're not going to fix it.

I'm not even mad about this bug. It's irritating bc of my OCD forsure but this is no big deal compared to the other problems I've seen other players have, yet most posts still have no response from EA or if there is one the say to restart the game and that's pretty much it. This is the standard operating procedure from EA. They're basically like...  " We're going to make a half-assed, half finished game and make them pay full price for it. Then when the game is released and has the bugs it has, we're not going to address or fix anything bc if we just ignore problems they'll go away. Who cares if we'll eventually lose every player we've ever had, we atleast got their money."

I truly hope this rumored Star Wars game from Ubisoft is real and comes out fairly soon. I hope it's as good as I think it will be  and should be. I also hope that somehow EA loses any and all rights to be able to make anything from Star Wars again. Along with some other titles as well. It's what they deserve for treating their fans and players this way. Anyways, rant over. Hopefully they fix this minor garden bug. More importantly I hope they fix all of the game breaking bugs this game has from all different stages in the story line that stop others from completing this game.

Summarize your bug Planted some Crimson Jelly spires, but the seeds “despawned” but still took up the space. The game says it is “empty” but acts as a plamt is in the space. I cannod weed it, replace it, or “reset” the plot to remove it.
How often does the bug occur? Occasionally (10% - 49%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Plant Jelly spires. I am unsure if it is exclusive to the one plant, or others have this as well. I am unsure what exactly happened as I only planted the seed.
What happens when the bug occurs? The spaces the plant “takes up” are occupied, even though the game considers the spaces to have no seed. It still takes the seeds from the stock, but it just “deletes them” Because the seeds are both large, it takes up too much space for me to plant the 10 different seeds reauired to gain the Bd-1 upgrade that shows seeds on the holo map
What do you expect to see? Some way to fix the soft locked area, whether a fix to the “deleted seed” or a way to “reset all” and refund everything. (Though since resetting the specific plot does nothinf, I am unsure if resetting all would help)

I have a video showing the bug in its full. Not how it started, as I did jot notice at the time, but it shows the “taken space” with nothing there, and nothing I do can fix it.

i could not attach it as a file as it is “too large”

  • The first area you access once unlocking the garden has a serious bug. I removed a plant that covers 3 hexes, but now those three spots are empty yet cannot be planted with a new seed. Because I cannot actually fill that gardening area the remaining area is still locked despite every other spot (all 3 areas near Pili) having plants fully grown. Pili will not interact with me, saying only come back later or similar. All plants are matured and fully grown but those three hexes are bugged; therefore, I cannot actually get the final area unlocked and cannot access the BD-1 upgrade (clearly shown on my map as an upgrade).

  • Hey,

I have the same issue and I read online that it's important to plant all different (10) plant types, no matter the color

Hi this issue / bug has also happened to me recently. As you can see in the photo attached, I am on the plants section of the menu where I should be able to see the type of plant, how it takes to grow etc. but as you can see, the spot is highlighted blue even when there isn’t a plant there and I am unable to plant or weed anything in those three blue hexagons. I have tried resetting the plot but it is still there. I’ve also tried closing and reopening the game, but it is also still there. Please fix this as I am still working towards the growth spurt trophy and need to use this plot.
