Softlock - Just after Timeworn Bridge meditation on Jedha

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I stopped at the Timeworn Bridge meditation spot, then pulled the grate. Noticed there was a drop down point to the left as well, decided that I'd keep going through the grate. Encountered Merrin, decided to run back and see what the drop down section was first. I clicked the dodge/dropdown button to try and climb down this grate and I got stuck in what I think is the "Hold down dodge to avoid melee" animation and couldn't get out of it, so I save and quit. Returned back to the game, now every time I go up to Merrin she no longer says the dialogue about patrols ahead (?) and we move into what would have been a fight arena but there are no enemies to fight, and Merrin never gives the contextual prompt to repair the arch. I've save/quit several times, it has not corrected the issue.
What happens when the bug occurs? Without the prompt to repair the arch, I can't continue with the mission. I can still run around in area, explore a couple side tunnels, but Merrin just stays by the large debris and doesn't move, doesn't have a dialogue prompt, nothing.
What do you expect to see? I expect either a fight to happen or to have the ability to have Merrin repair the archway.

I was just able to resolve this by fast traveling from the Meditation point to The Archives and back!
Hopefully you can get yours un-softlocked, too!

I had something similar happen. I was also trying to see what was down there as well and pulled the air-blocker thing and heard Merrin say something. I kept going and after the fight she tp'd passed the collapsed bridge.

I was just able to resolve this by fast traveling from the Meditation point to The Archives and back!
Hopefully you can get yours un-softlocked, too!

For anyone attempting the solution, please note that I had already tried warping to another location (I don't remember which one at this stage) attempting to fix the issue and it did not work. I'm guessing because the location I used was still within render distance/ram allocation. So, as the solution suggests, make sure its the archives that you fast travel to, just in case it is only that location that works. Also, talk to Cere (anyone really), it may do nothing, but it might help having an interaction with the archives environment just to say to the game, yup I'm here, load this content, not content at the bridge.
This also worked for me who had an issue where even the first time I saw Merrin there was no imperial patrol when she said there was.
