Star wars: Jedi Survivor Causes PC to HARD RESET

Star Wars: Jedi Survivor has been causing my Machine to Restart, it happens like clockwork in/during cutscenes, and due to the style of crash that happens no log is left on the system, no error codes, the only thing i get is an event ID from Event Viewer CRITICAL KERNEL-POWER 41 (63) The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

My PC goes Black, VGA LED light stays on PC restarts and i can hear Windows loadup sound.

its been doing this since the game came out, on every update, I've tried everything to fix this issue on my end so far as to replace every item in my machine, except the case.

my original hardware that i first experienced this issue with were the following

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, XFX Radeon RX6900XT, 32GB G.Skill Trident Z RGB CL14 3000mhz, Asus ROG X370 Crosshair 6 Extreme, ThermalTake ToughPower 1500W PSU, Win10 Pro.

i have since REPLACED EVERYTHING in my system, i contacted XFX and sent my card in under warranty repair to see if they could replicate the issue, they werent able to, but replaced the card anyways.

my new hardware is AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, XFX Radeon RX6900XT(RMA REPLACEMENT) 32GB G.Skill Trident Z RGB 6000MHZ CL30,Asus ROG Crosshair X670E HERO, SeaSonic PrimePX1300W PSU, Win11Pro.

same issue. nothing has changed, I've also reported this as an issue with AMD using their Driver Report tool. this has happened on ALL Driver Versions since Jedi Survivor came out.

ill attach my DXDIAG below hopefully this issue can be resolved.

UPDATE 1) 1/12/24 Game now also reboots machine in regular gameplay issue is now worse.

  • The game is not the only thing having issues with your rig. If you look at the Diagnostics section of your DXDIAG report, you will see MicrosoftEdgeUpdate.exe called out multiple times. You'll need to figure out what is going on.

It appears you still have on-board graphics enabled. Disable that in BIOS.

I recommend sticking with 1 monitor for troubleshooting.

  • Edge Calls out cause i have it disabled via Group policy. i dont want it updating. as its not used.

the 7800X3D has a 2CU IGPU built in and doesnt need to be disabled in bios as all titles only use the dGPU, none of these are pertinent to the issue at hand, if you look over my main post you'll see that this has happened on completely different hardware at which point i swapped every component and essentially built a brand new PC cause of it.

    although i appreciate the lookover.

    Hi,

Don't know if you have solved your problem by now but I have a similar problem.

I launch the game and it restarts my pc almost immediately, no crash report etc.

However resting the AMD shaders helps, credit this guy:

    https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/512txb/shader_cache_reset_to_solve_problems/?

It's a pretty old comment so the reset button is just under graphics in the adrenalin software now and you have to enable advanced view.

However I have to do it every time I play the game otherwise the crashing will resume. Pretty frustrating but the fact that it works at all suggests it's not a hardware issue.

Also that's a hell of an impulse pc upgrade to trouble shoot one game, you must really want to lightsaber some storm troopers.
