Similar as above, but in my case I took the nearby elevator up to the crash site and the quest completed and the Mire Terror log was added to my tactical guide. Enemy did not spawn when I went back down and entered the area where it should be. Also on PS5

Exact same thing happened to me. Was exploring the swamp after the mission there, found and took the elevator up, and as soon as the zone changed (like, when the name shows in the screen) after getting off the elevator at the top and waking for around ten seconds I received a popup for the bestiary entry for him and one saying I'd gained a skill point. Was confused and googled it and found this.
