The save system

To the great development team of Jedi: Survivor. ADD AN AUTOSAVE FEATURE!! The game crashes way too much to only be able to save while meditating and i, including many other players, dont have the patience to restart and loot the same boxes over and over again. If the game didnt crash so often i wouldnt mind, but it ruins the immersion for me and it makes the game unplayable. The souls-esque saving method is a very clever design and should be kept, but at least add an autosave feature so we dont lose so much progress. I wish to keep playing and see where Cal ends up in the story, but with the amount of crashing and no saved progress is very frustrating and annoying.

It really is an utterly **bleep** save system, as is any system that makes saving a "part of the game."

Saving should always be a meta thing related to the player sitting in the chair, for real life convenience.  Whether one "abuses" it is up to one's own convenience and decisions.  That said, ofc I understand that some people like this kind of save system and for that reason I wouldn't expect the developers to change it, but the option to switch over to a standard save slot + quicksave system would be most welcome.

I like the story, combat and and Star-Warsey aspects of the game, but my tolerance for the platforming/parkour aspects is thin enough without having to re-do entire sections.  I don't mind retrying a platform/parkour bit a few times on the spot, but having to go back and retrace my steps and do the same stupid sequence of crap again is waaaaay beyond my tolerance level.

Uninstalled until such times as they sort it out.

    • Enable Autosave: While the current save system is inspired by Souls-like games, adding an autosave feature would significantly improve the experience, especially for players facing frequent crashes. This would ensure progress isn't lost and reduce frustration.
    • Optimize Stability: Developers should prioritize fixing the crashing issues. Stability improvements would make the current save system more tolerable and enhance overall immersion.
    • Hybrid Save System: Retain the meditation-based saving for its strategic depth but complement it with autosave checkpoints after major events or milestones. This would balance immersion with convenience.
    • Community Feedback: Encourage players to share their experiences on forums like EA Answers HQ or Steam discussions to highlight the need for these changes and gather support.
