My other gripe with this is that it's based on the current playthrough, and not overall account-based.
I never use these buddy gimmicks, so I missed the achievement. I was like - okay, no problem, I'll start NG+. But now I'll have to progress the story so I can meet Merrin, since the achievement did not pop when I did my missing ones on Coruscant...
I played it again up to Jedha, having done hundreds of assists with bode.... *to be sure, played , died, did it again
I am at Jedha doing assist every CD, and no cigar....
