It's better to use a Xbox Controller on PC. It works natively with Windows.
With the DS4 controller (ps4), you need a third-party driver package.
And it will not guarantee that your game works fine.

I have no insider knowledge, so this is speculation, but I think it will probably work fine. If I recall correctly, I played Jedi Fallen Order with a DualShock 4 controller with no issues, so I expect it will be the same for Jedi Survivor.
I have used PlayStation controllers on PC for about five years now. Switched from DualShock 4 to DualSense last year. Most of the time with modern games, it works very well. The biggest annoyance nowadays is when developers choose not to include PlayStation icons, so you get Xbox prompts when using a PlayStation controller (saw this recently in Hades and the Atelier Ryza games). Studios are getting better at this, though, and Steam has built-in drivers for all kinds of controller, including PlayStation and Switch.
