Armor upgrade lowering stats
Sticking this in here in the hope that someone will actually know of a 100% work around or I might actually get a timely official response. I have purchased armor from the common data crystal vendor...

I have noticed in swtor.com a few other threads here and there of people mentioning the same thing. Not sure if you posted there as well so I was going to ask if any of your old gear "Yavin Force-Lord's Robe MK-2" have augments on them but the new gear did not. That could affect the stats between the two if those are missing so I just wanted to ask?
I haven't tested this myself but I'm going to try to find a character to test it on myself but just wanted to go over the above first.
Edit: I found your swtor.com post about it. I would move or copy that post to the Bug Reports section as well to help get the issue escalated since you already submitted an in-game ticket. If it is a bug, it will require a patch to fix which from what I'm seeing is only once a month right now.
Just received an email from the help desk with a work around.
Equip the new gear, leave the area you are in (Fleet base, Yavin....) and the stats should be corrected.
Just tried on a character and after equipping all of the shiny new gear, I quick travelled to Coruscant, then back to the fleet and my stats were up.
Not perfect, but it will let me progress. Well, it will once I get bored with the Warcraft Beta. 🙂
