Artifact equipment Authorization failure

I came back to see if I want to subscribe or not with Onslaught. I did the same thing with KotET and bought the Artifact Equipment Authorization to be able to try it out with the gear I had. I accidentally bought two in fact, and never bothered to get rid of the second. Trying to use the second Authorization on a whim it says I am already authorized.

Upon login, I get the chat message "You do not have Authorization for equipment you are wearing and will not be able to gain its benefits. Permanent equipment Authorization is available in the Cartel Market."

Even though I have the authorization, I cannot use some artifact items, it looks like gear from Yavin, getting the message 'You cannot use or equip this due to your subscription permissions.'

There was a thread on this 4 years ago and this issue was reportedly fixed.

Of course, as a Preferred status player, I cannot create an in-game ticket or post to the support forums. Special.

Although subscribing would solve the problem, I will not until I can try out the new content properly.
