Cannot validate email

Based on what you've described are you not receiving the one time validation email?

If that is the case make sure your checking your email junk / spam folders, if your email offers a search try using the search to see if it will find the email.  Also the emails come from no-reply@bioware.swtor.com so ensure that you do not have this email blocked or add it to your email's safe list.

Lastly the other option you can try to do is to change the email address on your account to another email like gmail to see if the email will arrive in a different email address.

I was having this problem with my gmail account too. I finally went to the account page and changed it to a hotmail account, which did get the validation email, and got my account validated. When I changed it back to gmail again though, no validation email.

Try using you@googlemail.com instead of you@gmail.com advise if the email turns up.
