  • That sounds like a windows error message - make sure windows is up to date - it's a system message not a swtor one

  • First set of steps to try are per here

If you’re seeing an unspecified error message when patching the game using Bit Raider, please try the following workaround to get back into the game:
    • Shut down the launcher.
    • Press Ctrl-Shift-Esc (or Win-X in Windows 10) to open task manager.
    • Click on the Processes tab and end the following Bit Raider processes: BRSptStub.exe and BRSptSvc.exe
    • Go to your installation directory (usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\BioWare\Star Wars - The Old Republic) and open the BitRaider folder.
    • Delete the Config folder.
    • Delete all .xfr files in the BitRaider folder.
    • Restart the launcher, it should now force a repair and allow you back into the game.
Please note that you may need to try this more than once.

I have attempted to perform the solution you mentioned above (i.e. deleting .xfr files as well as additional .xfr from config file) but during the reloading of the files I encounter a point when the verification process simply stops. I am unable to finish the loading process at this time. Any thoughts?
