Can't log into swtor launcher

Whenever I try to log into the swtor launcher on my laptop, I receive the following message: "The login sevice is currently unavailable. Please visit our forums for the latest updates on the status of this service", however I am able to log into swtor on my desktop. I tried reinstalling swtor. The program appears to have installed fine, and the launcher was updated, however when I tried to log in again, I received the same message as before. I have been able to play swtor on my laptop in the past, however for some reason the launcher is no longer allowing me to log in.
