Can't recover account

First of I haven't played SWTOR or attempted to login since around summer of 2012. Needless to say I have forgotten and have no written down record of the password or security key (not an ideal start I know, been a few years though). So I try using the retrieve password... this does not work and leads me to the worst experience with any customer service ever..

After almost 3 hours of phone conversations with SWTOR customer service (from a mobile) spending near 70% of those hours on bloody hold and 2 emails to the address provided by customer service (no acknowledgement or reply after almost a week now) I am still no further forward with the abysmal "support" they provide! All they have managed to inform me is the account looks to have been compromised. The fact there is no way to seek answers via the official forums, no email address provided without contacting them by phone and obtaining the super secret email address that no one seems to monitor and spending a small fortune on phone bills is absurd in this day and age!

Anyway, I have tried everything and given almost every information I can minus DNA and fingerprints to prove I am the owner of said account... still they refuse as I can't answer the only 3 secret questions they ask, despite there being 5 I set-up originally they only ever ask the same three... favourite artist, author and last name of favourite actor, all of which I have informed them would no way be questions I would use as these will always change with time and age! Now they themselves said the account has been compromised so of course the person who has taken the account or whatever has clearly changed the details! They proceed to ask for last 4 digits of bank number... I live in the UK and bank cards expire every 2 years, changing the 16 digit number... I offer the bank account number... they cant work with this, address, date of birth, post code, character names, brief history of servers played on everything I possibly can and stone walled, same response over and over... "we cant help you, the account looks to be compromised"

Sorry for rant, but I am beyond  annoyed now. This is now the only way I see of seeking help to recover the account and game I pre ordered and spent hours upon hours playing before leaving for pastures new. Can anyone please help from EA side or if SWTOR representatives monitor this forum, please contact me via email as I refuse to spend any more time and money on these absurd phone calls getting no where.

PS blizzard and other companies offer the option to provide photo ID scanned and emailed to prove who I am and recover the account, as they are smart enough to know if an account has been compromised then chances are details have been altered, why is this option not given?!

I gather the email address they provided is the one detailed here ? if so a week is about the response time as a lot are disputing banned accounts from a recent exploit.

Latest response... And I'm assuming this is in response to my post here not any of the emails or phone calls I have already made. Truly shocking customer service.

I feel your pain, * you gotta go through. I'm interested to hear your resolution. So, I'm also posting a bullet point so IN CASE some individual comes by and reads it I can give them insight.

I haven't been on in about two or three years. I'm nearly sure my account was hacked back in the day, as I would see characters moved around and items missing. (or maybe I was on a bender and forgot what I did)

Either or, I had to go to the EA site and activate my email/username from there. that went to my old email, so I had to get that old email, and activate that. and then change everything to the new email (as that email is a toss away email)

Now, after that, I got the auto email I was TRYING to get earlier, (by signing into SWTOR but didn't get, till I activated the EA email, and now SWTOR is now active to)

The * thing is, I can't see ANYTHING of the account. Past history, transactions, I have an old invalid card on there and It keeps saying it will send me an email addressing the issue. I'm sure as not too many of us (or many of us) are coming back in light of Episode 7 they may be swamped, not swamped, or something is in error. Emails are working, but I don't have the time to sit on support with them as I got two full time jobs.

Did you ever receive this elusive email? After you got the account back? Or still not there yet? If this may help you or anyone else, cheers. If not, I'm in the same boat. I got a few guildies in another game that wanna run around here till new content is made.

Afraid still nothing since last Monday and after 3 phone calls to support!

What I don't understand is why they don't donas blizzard do and use photograph ID... It's the most full proof way, scan passport with important stuff blanked out same as blizzard and I'm sure other developers do.

Latest update in the lost account saga... Completely stone walled! Despite setting up 5 security questions at inception of account back at release they refuse to ask anything other than favourite author and actors last name!! Its been 4 years, why would I set-up security questions which would change with time, age and preferences, my account has most definitely been hacked/compromised and information has been changed.

The complete lack of empathy or willingness to help by your customer service teams is atrocious, verified by despite pleading and being as polite as possible I have been hung up on twice tonight, phone calls after being on hold lasting no more than a few minutes. How much effort have they really managed to put into recovering this account in such a short time.

I'm beyond disgusted and enraged by the worst customer service I have ever encountered, bone idle, lazy and clearly have the bare minimum training. Two have only 1 protocol in place to verify and recover an account... two security questions is border line insane... why cant I just scan and email photo ID... why do you not respond here or to the various emails I have sent over the last 4 weeks!!

Disgusting treatment, bioware the latest games developer to sell out!!!
