Character Problem

So last week I logged into all my alt toons to finish some crafting, I log into my main toon and the loading screen got stuck half way and only the cog moved. I also noticed my mouse kept switching from the SWtOR mouse to the normal windows one constantly. I called customer service and was told to make a ticket. I did and well it's already almost been a week and I've read many times in game customer service takes way too long and I really am not in the mood sadly to wait that long for my main, since I play on an RP server and with upcoming events I really want this issue to be fixed. I moved the character to a different server to see if it'd might solve the issue. It didn't.

By any chance did you log out of this character while in a stronghold?  If so that would be why as their is a known bug when you log out while in a stronghold that the character cannot get logged back in.  If this is the case the in-game ticket is the only method to resolve this as they would need to move that character from the stronghold to the fleet.

If it's been a week since the ticket has put in, it just may need more time.  Unfortunately there is a delay due to the number of tickets that are coming in but they will get to it.  Make sure the ticket includes the character name, server and date/time you logged out and where and that you are requesting it to be moved to the fleet.

You can also call customer service to see if they can expedite the ticket as well.

Hey there - sorry to hear about your issue. Since it has been such a long time since submitting a ticket, I have an alternate suggestion that has helped me with this issue over the years.

First and foremost, have you been able to log onto any other character and successfully load in?

If not, given the amount of time, my normal fix for this situation consists of two very basic adjustments.

First, do you use any tools to clear your cache etc? If not now would be a great time to do so.

If so, go ahead and head into the swtor files. I usually find that if I delete the config file, it lets me back in.

If none of these work, and time is still ticking, there isnt much preference to keeping the game installed. I have reinstalled with similar issues and after a reinstall, it allowed me to log on my heroes without any issues, though having to reset the preferences etc. Given that it may take a few hours, this can be preferable to several days, or weeks waiting for a response.
