Characters missing when logging in through steam.

Greetings:

When I login through the standalone launcher all of my characters are there. When I log in through Steam my characters are missing, yet with the standalone my characters show up. The Steam launcher doesn't accept my login name with the underscore. I can't find any option to link the two my steam login with my username no underscore and my standalone/origin login with the underscore, same password and official key generator app on both launchers.

Thank you for your help, I want my characters on both standalone and the steam launching methods.

    @MacGregor2000 

    The launcher used with steam is the same launcher outside steam

    try 

    start the swtor launcher via steam and untick remember username , close the launcher and to be sure close steam then go to swtor.com and use the unlink feature , then log back into steam start the swtor launcher and enter the correct username , see if that works

    edit - just to be clear when you login to swtor.com to use the unlink it needs to be the name without the underscore as that is the account linked at present

    edited: didn't need to clarify this was for SWTOR, that's all this part of the forums is for anyways. 🙂 (shrugs)

    Hello:

    Thank you for your prompt response, the unlink page/link is up now, and it tells me this:

    Steam Unlink

    There is no Steam account linked to your Star Wars™: The Old Republic account.

    None of my characters are showing up when logging in through steam still, and I don't remember getting a prompt for account linking either.

    My display name has an underscore in it, yet the steam launcher only recognizes my display name without the underscore, and the standalone only with the underscore

    I don't know what difference that makes.

    Maybe I'm missing something simple, but it sounds like my characters should have already been showing up when launching through Steam

    when using my SWTOR log in credentials.

    Thank you for your prompt response.

    That did work, thank you, I was already trying similar steps, but I had some trouble logging in to SWTOR using the name without the underscore, finally got it working that way however.

    I must have created a SWTOR account without the underscore accidentally, it's fixed now though, thank you. 🙂
