edit the client_setting file first per https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/Guide-Game-failing-to-launch-on-Clicking-Play/m-p/4809830/highlight/true#M70795
and see if any change
Remove and re-add exceptions for the game in both the antivirus and firewall in case its being blocked

Edited client_setting.ini. It did not have any of those lines so I had to add them.
Removed and re-added SWTOR to Windows Defender & Windows Firewall.
Still the same outcome - nothing is coming out after the launcher closes. - 2 years ago@proxos666 I also just ran a clean boot as outlined in the link - still no changes.

Reset my PC as a last resort, SWTOR now functions normally. Shame I couldn't find the solution properly.

The error returned. The game was still running yesterday, and I haven't downloaded anything after playing.
I looked at Windows Update History and there have been updates that I can't roll back, I'm guessing those are the culprits.
In any case, I've revoked resetting my PC as a solution - there seems to be a conflict between SWTOR and recent Windows Updates rollout.
Til then, I don't think I will be able to play the game.
Was wondering where I could reach out to inform devs about this issue
