Companions locked

Hey there   I've tried the first free chapter of KOTFE but now after finishing I cannot access any of my companions, all are locked even Darth Marr, thus leaving me without companion. Anything I ...

In order to reach that chapter I have to pay subscription which I have not done yet, is there really no other way to get my companion back ?

@Stormyvyll

 If I understood the Promo right, you should be able to get access to your Companions outside of the KotFE Story.

So go to Fleet abandon that Quest and reset all active Phases.
