I started it with one of my main characters. I cannot abandon the quest line either. Even if I'm on the Imperial fleet i still don't have them.
@Stormyvyll So there's indeed a problem over here according to what you say.
Objectively as a F2P or preferred player you cannot contact the customer support In-game and they only take care of account and billing and technical issues over the phone. I truely believe that you're down the road over here, since the solution would be to take a subscription then to follow the steps I told you before in the spoiler tab.
At this stage it's up to you I guess, but you can see it that way: Once your main character reach level 60 there is not much to do end game for free players, even PVP gets quite limited.
