Constantly Disconnecting to Server Selection

For a week now I have been getting random disconnects to the server selection. I have reinstalled the game, flushed dns, tried different DNS servers. Nothing is working. Sometimes I can play for a couple hours, most of the time it will be anywhere between 2 minutes and not even loading my character. I am wired into my modem directly. Nothing is abnormal on pingplotter. There is one hop that has high packet loss but the issue persists even when I am completely bypassing that hop. I will include a screenshot. The disconnect was about 30 seconds before the screenshot. It is extremely frustrating and there doesn't seem to be a fix.

Edit: I have also included a log from the game although I don't know what information might be relevant. It does list the disconnects happening. A guild mate is also having this same problem recently.

You appear to have a local network issue and not surprised of disconnects ? see the 7.9% loss at the start and going all the way through

scroll down to bad hardware on local network at this link for comparison to your pingplot

off hand, if you have a separate router/modem that are bridged , break that bridge and retest

That loss is a result of unplugging the modem for a reset. It does not happen normally or when the disconnects happen.

Here is another capture after about 5 disconnects in a row.

that looks better , cant see a lot just a item of note.

hop2 being the first hop between your ISP and your modem, min ping is 6.4ms yet its averaging 16 ms, there is reasonable ping spiking occurring pushing the average up triple to its expected value. what is noteworthy is that delay seems to be about the same on all hops and anything that is seen through all hops is something affecting the path (is that ping spiking occurring around the same time as the disconnects ?) i would focus the graph on hop 1 and hop 2 when the dc's occur to see if there is any correlation to the time of the disconnects.

i have included a pingplot from a system i have connected here by wire, notice how cleaner (less spiking) the plot is in comparison to min , cur and avg to your one.

May be best to say tether that computer to your mobile GSM network and test play on that and see if the disconnects still occur.

No spikes at all when getting disconnected. I don't have a wireless card to test tethering to my phone.

Not sure what phone you have, but i can tether my iphone with a usb cable and setup as a hotspot, and select it instead of my network adapter which i disable to be 100% certain.

Just realized I could do that after typing the last message. I am not being disconnected on tether. Do you know any causes I could have my ISP look into to figure out why I am getting disconnected? Nothing else seems to be affected but swtor.

Well at least you know the system itself isnt causing it (unless it is the network adapter), from there it leaves the modem/router you are hardwire connected too or something on the ISP side of the internet.

There is this guide that details the ports needed, is there a firewall on the modem for example ?, if something is killing the port connection you will disconnect and nothing will show on a pingplot,.

The ports are definitely not open because I have no control over them. That said they aren't open on my tethered connection either. Firewall has exceptions for launcher and swtor.exe and did the same thing when entirely disabled.
