OK, I just installed yesterday so I am still new to the game. At the end of every conversation that I have the game hangs for around 10-30 seconds. I have tried turning my graphics down to very low, and i have tried hitting space bar after the conversation is over. No luck. Any suggestions? This is a problem, cause people dont seem to like me and want to kill me after i finish talking to them lol. So by the time its done doing its thing I'm half dead.

@Kedahl Is there any change if say you play in fullscreen (window) mode ? First thing is apply this particular directx redist just to be sure all the dx9 libraries are there.

Try running a repair:

Non-Streaming launcher - Log into the launcher but don't click Play. Check for small letters "ST" in the bottom left corner.

If this is NOT present, With the new launcher after login , select the username pulldown on the top right and select settings, then press repair.

Streaming launcher - If the letters "ST" is present, close the launcher, right mouse click on the game shortcut,

select open file location and delete the BitRaider folder. Then start the launcher

Also ensure that your video drivers are up to date as well.

Hey, thanks for the reply, and sorry for my slow reply.

So, I do have the ST in the corner of the launcher. Closed it, deleted bitraider folder. Restarted launcher, and it did a file verification. After it finished that, I still have the ST in the corner. Thought that it might have fixed it. So I tried a conversation. No such luck, still lags after the final line is spoken.

At this point its late so I'm going to try reinstalling. Hopefully that fixes it.
Let you know how that goes in the morning.

I doubt re-installing will be a fix

If it persists can you post a dxdiag per this link

Ensure both launcher.exe and swtor.exe are in all the exception lists for the antivirus and firewall

Ok Proxos666 was right reinstalling did not help.

Posting my dxdiag for you.

As I advance it seem that getting jumped after a convo is a more and more common thing. >.>

Ok so i tired installing the dx9 files. Didnt seem to help at all.

I also play in fullscreen(window). So i tried the other 2 and neither fixes it.
I'm about at my wits end. =(

If you press the windows key and type reliability and open the reliability history are there entries corresponding when you are playing swtor ?
I havent seen anyone else post similar behavior recently, and I gather you have tried an older video driver etc already
Also Ensure win 10 game mode is off per this link etc whilst troubleshooting
It may also be best to re-install as non streaming per this link just to be sure bitraider isnt conflicting with something, this removes bitraider from the equation as a cause.

Ok I'll try that when I get home, I have fiber so it won't take long for me to redownload. Hopefully it's just bitraider.

Hey so i have had a crazy week, just now got to play SWTOR again. Loaded it up, started playing. Then i realized it wasn't doing the after convo lag any more....

I don't know how we fixed it but we did haha. Well heck. Going to mark the last thing i did as the answer.
