The game has a rather large 1 GB cache file , this file is called diskcachearena located at
C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\BioWare\Star Wars-The Old Republic\swtor
with the game closed delete it and then run a defrag over the hardrive before launching again, it will auto recreate a fresh one
does this have any affect on this issue ?
I just deleted and defragged. I will check and let you know when the servers are back up.

Deleting the file and defragging did not solve the issue. :/I am also having the same issue and so far, nothing has helped this issue. It makes Flashpoints almost unplayable.
