Updated drivers. Same issue
Please note that the game launches but crashes in the char select menu or in-game, always after like 30 seconds. It doesn't seem to be a launcher issue. Something is killing the process only when from steam. Not UAC, not WD... I have no clue; it's frustrating
Try doing a clean boot https://help.ea.com/au/help/faq/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/ ( you will need to leave the steam strapper running i would think ) and see if any change
Not sure what else can affect the game, normally a cause of swtor crashing is a 3rd party overlay being inserted into the game on startup

Oh God, a week troubleshooting and it was effing Discord!!
Did what you asked: disabled everything at launch, and it went fine. Loaded up the usual suspects (nVidia, Adobe, sound switchers, MSI, etc).
Everything fine. UNTIL I launch Discord, then after mere seconds, crash. I shut it down, load the game, goes fine. I load Discord, crash.
After some googling, apparently (careful, you're about to read some tinfoil stuff) Discord is ALWAYS ready to stream or it's streaming all the time.
