Solved

Email about someone else trying to get my game name.

Ok so I gets an email from the Support saying "We have received a request to recover your Display Name for Star Wars™: The Old Republic™. "

I can't contact support back to tell them I never requested this action as there is NO-WAY for me to even put in a ticket unless I do the monthly subscription and contact via the in game contact from what I can see. So I am at wits end how to fix this stupid problem without spending heaps of time and money on a phone call from Australia to wherever I have to call. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • If you email support@swtor.com in regards to an account issue they will likely respond by saying you need to phone support.

If someone has a close email address and inputs it incorrectly, you will get the email sent too you, and as long as your email is secure then there should not be any issue.

If you do need to call and your phone plan doesn't allow for international calls , then consider using skype if you need to call support , from Australia it is 3 cents a minute so AUD $1.80 for an hour call if you happen to talk that long.

If you set the country to the USA in skype and dial the USA number it should actually be a free call.

  • Hey @warman001

If you are not a sub, you can write an email to support@swtor.com.

Also check that your account is properly secured. (Security questions, good password, ...), because you did not submit the request yourself, as I understand it.
