Some things you can try would be to use a different browser in case the browser you are using is causing an issue. Second thing you can do is change the email it goes to another email. I use gmail and don't have any issues clicking on the link. You can also try to right click the link and tell the browser to open in a new tab manually that way.
ok also a FTP player here. I got the email no problem. clicked on the link & im sent to the reset password page. I put in my info, & the error message i get is "unable to verify activation code" WTF?
I'm getting the exact same issue. It's a problem with their verification server. It's either down or something. But you can't open a ticket unless you're a subscriber. So basically, I can't verify my email to PAY them to subscribe. Come on now.
Are you clicking the link from the email or copying it? Try using the link in a different browser?
Try from a different email address?
I have tried clicking the link and copying and pasting it, same result. I havent tried a different browser though and will try that tonight, thanks.

I had a look at your account and I'm seeing successful logins around the time you were posting. Do you need to reset your password, or was it another issue you're experiencing?
i was trying to do the validation so i could play past level 20. instead of validation it sends me to reset my password

This scenario Email Validation and One Time Passwords on the guide should help you out:
I'm unable to log on to characters above Level 20.
- Add no-reply@bioware.swtor.com to your safe-senders list.
- If you're trying to send a validation email to the address that's already on your account, the system will not send it. You can temporarily use a different email address, validate it, and then change back to your original one.
- Log on to the Basic Information page using the same Display Name you use on the Launcher, check the existing email address, and use a different one. If you're using Gmail, you can use either googlemail.com or gmail.com as the same address, or you can add/remove dots: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/7436150?hl=en
