well i have the same problem and for me it seems to fix itself by entering a cantina and talk to your companions.
basically anything that heads your headslot in a cutscene will sometimes fix it

EA QV TeamI suspected the issue had something to do with the game automatically removing some head gear during cutscenes. I'm glad you figured out a workaroud though! Sadly with small bugs like these, it's either a matter of finding a workaround or waiting for it to be addressed in a patch.
