you can try to remove the security key in a web browser not the launcher , leave the key blank and click on the lost key link on the next screen
note this requires you to know your password etc

This is the crux of the matter. I can't reset my password to log in without a key, and I can't remove the key without logging in, and I can't get a key without an activation code, which presumably also requires being logged in. Catch 22, as they call it.
yes you need to call swtor support on Monday when the lines are open they can remove the key manually if you dont know your password

once you have proven ownership of the account, support can manually remove the key to let you reset the password on the account
