I’m wondering about how to level up my companion in the best way. Is it to buy gifts to them? And where do I best buy gifts in that case?
Yes, buying gifts with credits. They also get influence from sending them on crew skill missions, dialog choices or from a special cartel market item (instant level 50). You can buy the gifts on the Fleet, Galactic Trade Network section.
Ok. Thanks for the answer. But where in the Galactic trade network can I find the best vendor for bying gifts?

Hi, and thanks for the answer! But I’ve already been to that site, and I find it a little bit confusing… Let’s say that I wanna level up my companion T7-01. Where should I go to find the best vendor to do so? And what should I buy? I haven’t got so much credits yet, only about 350 000. Any help on this is greatly appriciated!

T7 likes technology gifts the most (= gets the most influence). On the Fleet, GTN Section (north-east), NPC is called Teintonja, she's in a cage-like area/cube, outer ring. This NPC sells rank 1 and rank 2 companion gifts. These are the cheapest. If your T7 is below lets say level 15, buy 200 "Holoviewer" (= rank 1 technology gift) and click them 200 times (yes, it takes time, put the gift on an action bar button, spam key). Cost = 4000 credits. Do this until ~level 15. After that rank 2 ("Hutt Data Library") until level 20. If you want to do it faster, use the NPC Luna. She sells rank 5 gifts (Technology = "Aratech reconstr. Toolkit"). They are far more expensive.
