in game fps counter truns from green to red

There seems to be a problem with swtor every time there are a lot of players or npc in an area the in game fps counter will turn from green to red and there is a sudden drop in fps. What is causing this problem and is there anything I can do to fix this problem?

  • First the colour change only indicates if the resources are primarily from CPU or GPU.

In certain areas,  Fleet, WZs, OPs you will get fps dropps, if you get 30fps+ and no stuttering turn off the fps meter and enjoy the game.

If it gets below ir you get things like rubberbanding, you can try experimenting with the Graphic Settings, reducing  Shadows are something that seems to be one of the most effective.

Turning off process in the background.

On the Hardware side RAM 8GB at least an new CPU in the line of an actual i5 may get you better results.
