Input not supported

So the issue is. I haven't played SWTOR in AGES and recently felt like going back into the game but I had one problem on my new computer when I installed the game and updated it and all that i turned it on and it only came up with a message "Input not supported" the audio played in the background and all that. The worst part is that I couldn't quit the game at all not even using ctrl+alt+delete or the windows home button. And when I tried restarting my computer it popped up again this time without turning on the game. It resulted in me having to reinstall my windows and all the programs to get my PC to work. Is there a way of fixing this or am I not destined to play the game.

    If you can get into and exit the game now

    Press the [Windows] Key + [R] at the same time

    Copy the following in to the text box and press ok

    %localappdata%\swtor\swtor\settings

    Open the client_settings.ini file in notepad and ensure the following are displayed within

    Fullscreen = false
    D3DFullScreen = false
    RefreshRate = 60

    Check NativeHeight, NativeWidth, Height and Width ( all 4 ) match your monitor resolution.

    Save and close the file.
    Start the game as normal.
    Change graphic settings within the game as desired.

    You are best creating an EDID override using CRU (Link) , detail just the native resolution eg. 1920 x 1080 @60Hz

    Idea is to ensure no unsupported resolutions and frequency are available.

  • Hi I have the same issue. I'm getting black screen and error "Input not supported ". I followed your instruction but when I opened the client_settings it's empty. :C
    Not really a technical person. But I can try following steps. I just need to go back to the game as it's been a while the last time I played the SWTOR. Any help is appreciated.

  • Hi. Nothing happens. Still seeing the error message  "Input not supported "

    @Incubus_me

    Can you try with a different monitor connected and then if the client_setting file creates take the settings back to window mode and then try the original monitor
