Just passed level 10, still can't chat

Yeah I'm having the same problem with my level 15 operative lol

I've done everything these messages said to do. However, there wasn't a BitRaider file TO delete. 

UPDATE: I found the bitraider folder, deleted it, ran the launcher, still didn't work.

Is there any known issue with chat at present for f2p players after/before the recent patch ?

Yeah, i have the same problem with my lvl 20 sage. my lvl 50 smuggler the day before was working just fine

I emailed [edit: email address removed], and the responder apologized for my "chta" problem (sic). He said it might have to be fixed in the next patch, or I could try using /bug in-game to communicate with the developers, which I can't do because I can't chat.

I just started yesterday, and am having this problem as well with my Level 13 (as of now) Sniper. Clearly, I am above Level 10, and yet I cannot use any chat whether it be Whisper, Group, Guild, or even General.

Please fix this as soon as possible; I dislike the idea of having to pay $5 for Preferred simply to, in effect, play a game due to how valuable chat is in any MMO.

Hi there, kinda experiencing a bug where I am unable to talk in general, party or really any chat ingame even though my character is now level 20. I understand that f2p accounts have restrictions however my understanding is that we are able to talk in most chats after level 10 which is what im unable to do. I hope you can help me soon because not being able to talk is making the game slightly unplayable.

Also just to add but I was unable to use the /bug command ingame either otherwise I would have reported it there instead since I believe that's what I should have done but obviously was unable too.

Having the exact same problem and this sucks hard, I can't talk to friends who got me into the game, I can't ask for help when I want to ask something. I'm level 18 and I still can't chat, I can't even /say it just tells me I need to be level 10.
