Keep getting unspecifoed error message on swtor

First close the game launcher, right click the task bar and open task manager.  Once open in the Processes tab stop all bitraider (br) processes.  Next go to the Services tab and ensure that bit raider is setup to start automatically.

close task manager, restart your computer and then reopen the launcher.

Hi.I have encountered the same problem u mentioned.I follow the method,change BR to SSN and bitraider false change to true.Then I delete the bitraider folder,the assets folder and the movie folder.I restart my pc,go to swtor launcher.After I sign in,it automatically starts to download English video 1.After video 1,it starts video 6.quite a big file.After spending the whole night downloading,it starts another file call main asset 1.This file is much more bigger.I have to stop because need to go work.I want to ask,am I doing the right thing?It seems very strange to me.

If you have disabled bitraider per this guide link it is an initial new game download, but after you get through this pain you will never see the unspecified error again.

OMG.It took a few days to complete the download I presume.Pls tell me,how many files do I need to download?

The game is about 35Gb I believe now , switching patch methods does involve a new game download, if you have started this per the guide then it is best to let it complete.

Unspecified error as detailed at this guide link is an error that only occurs with the other (streaming) patch method, hence why it is a 100% fix to remove that error.  

My recommendation is to leave the download running now until it completes, patching after this point will be a lot quicker

Sorry,i have another question.Do I need to download the game first before I use yr method or I can just use yr method directly?

It Can be done directly, there is no need to have the fully game installed previously to swap patch methods , once it is fully downloaded the play button will be available
