Mission item stuck in inventory

Hello everyone. First of all i usually don't post anything. My only post that i made was about a code SWTOR released in 2018 for the Hutt Cartel and Revan. My point is i found a topic close to this one, but the guy was asking how to delete junk items from his inventory and the topic is old now (the one i found in this forum is from 2016) so i don't think it's good to "revive it".

While I was completing the Seeker Droid quest series I received an e-mail from swtor support stating that I had lost an item and providing me with a new seeker droid mission item. I then later discovered that after that in-game mail I in fact had two seeker droids in my mission items tab. I have since finished the quest series and now have the seeker droid as an ability but I still have a seeker droid sitting in my mission item inventory.

I contacted swtor support in game via a help ticket to see about the possibility of getting it removed. I waited three days for a response and once I finally got one the staff member stated that they normally don't remove mission items and because it was not part of my regular inventory it should not pose a problem. In other words, they effectively told me to just live with it.

Is it really so hard to have someone delete a mission item? I would have thrown the spare droid out but I can't touch it because it is still flagged as a mission item, despite the fact I completed the entire quest series. I also find it a bit appalling that I made a request to swtor support, about a mistake they basically caused by sending me a seeker droid I ended up not needing, only to have them brush me off with generic customer service speak.

I would appreciate it if a swtor member can respond and tell me if they can delete a single mission item in-game (or why they can not). Thank you.

That's from another player with the same problem (his post if from the SWTOR forum). It's about this item Seeker Droid. It's in my mission inventory and well... here is explained everything. The post is from 2013 and i wonder if the staff members would change their minds and be able to delete the item. If they don't i will have to delete my character and start all over again (i'm 60lvl already with completed story) and yes i know some of you might say it's not big deal but for me IS. Just knowing that there is an item that is stuck forever is driving me crazy. Pls leave your thoughts.

  • Hey @Naughtyscum

That also happened to me then too. However, it did not really bother me.

You could ask via in-game ticket (if you are a subscriber) or email to support@swtor.com if they could delete the item for you. But otherwise there is no way.

Still, I would not delete the character just for that one mission item, but it's up to you.

  • Well i seached a little about this. As you said i can send a ticket if i'm subscriber, but the other thing i found though is that the staff members does not give that kind of help (don't get me wrong here, i have no disrespect for any of the SWTOR staff) on the free to play players. They can get help in this forum (ANSWERS HQ) soo yeeah. Oh and btw i already deleted my char and now it's the long way to get it back there where i deleted it. Honestly i thought here are no bugged things (because of the time i'm here... maybe a year or so i can't remember another bug that i've found in the game and yes i know there is no game without bugs, but i just didn't saw any but that's another topic i guess), but that was the one and the worst that i found in the game. I really hope they fix this, or to let the staff members be able to help the players in such situations, but as i said i have no disrespect for them, it seems it's just the way it is. Oh well, back to the leveling. Oh and i want to thank you for giving me this tip and to apologize for wasting your valuable time. Kind regards from me to everyone.

  • I have a similar problem. I've received an extra HK Weapons Protocol months after completing HK-51's recruitment mission, the item is now permanently stuck in my mission items. This has happened on two different characters now and I wrote a ticked and a bug report each time but CS was unable to remove the extra item. Is there any way at all to get rid of it from my mission inventory?

Well if you are like me you can just delete it (yeah i know, it's not a good solution but it's the only one i can think of and i already did it). Still as i said in my previous post i hope the staff do somethin about that. Kind regards.

Removing mission items isn't usually something that customer service can do, unless those items are causing an issue that's blocking or impacting gameplay. The mission inventory can hold 80 items so there's plenty of room.

  • I figured it's not someting CS has control over but I still would've liked to know if that's in any way possible, if there's someone else I could ask. Especially considering that there are people out there with more than just one HK Weapons Protocol in ther mission inventory, a friend of mine has accumulated 6 so far. Yes, they still have space for 74 more items but the bug causing this isn't being fixed.
