My Steam account isn't linked to my SWTOR account?

This message shows up when I log in my account on the website. I've played the game on steam for like 2 years and have over 90 hours on it. I've only checked now because I've been thinking about buying a subscription via Steam as it was easier for me (Latin American) but I've read that if it isn't linked there'll be an error. So idk how to link it. Everywhere I've searched says it's automatic but it clearly isn't since it never linked for me (apparently).
