I recently bought the Starter pack for SWTOR which comes with a 30 day subscription but it is still saying that my account is a F2P one. I was wondering if any one can help me with this situation. Thank you for your time.
Try shutting down the game client completely and restarting it again. Can cure a multitude of things.

Did you get a code with it? If you used the code on the website, you should be fine (assuming you have not used the code on a second account). If you redeemed it through Origin, it would cause problems and you would need to call in. Here are their numbers, they are pretty good at this kind of thing and should be able to get you sorted quickly. Skype is probably your best bet to call in on.
